At Paris fashion week, the Yazbukey sisters debut a collection of New York–inspired accessories
Sibling design duo Yaz and Emel Kurhan of Yazbukey are showing love for a very New York cast of characters this season with their collection of pristine Plexiglas neckpieces. Voilà Michael Jackson, Cicciolina, Andy Warhol, and Jackie Onassis, all of whom are destined to be sitting pretty on stylish necks around the world, part of a Spring/Summer 2009 assortment inspired by fantasy. Also playing its part in the lineup of creations are matching brooches, which can be worn alongside the suspended accessories to complete the pop look. With the snap of a finger, this label (which debuted in 2000) has earned itself top billing on our accessory hit-list of the season.
